May 24 - June 2 – WORLD’S TALLEST SAND CASTLE ATTEMPT PRESENTED BY BEST WESTERN - Starting May 24, professional sand sculptors will create a 40 foot tall sand sculpture with a 75 foot wide base, Sculpture to reflect what Sun Fun is known for, “Summer Starts Here!” Sponsored by the Best Western Hotels of the Carolinas.

May 28 - 7 p.m. Aaron Tippin Memorial Day Concert, Myrtle Beach Community Church in Fantasy Harbour. Free but tickets required. Can be picked up at the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Oak Street Office beginning May 14, 2007 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Limit of 2 per person on a first come first serve basis. Once the tickets have all been distributed, no additional tickets will be available.
