Description
Most
recently, our Myrtle Beach area golf courses at
Sea Trail in Sunset Beach, NC were named by Golf
Digest 2006 as North Carolina's "Top 100
Courses". Our fabled courses each offer a
personality of their own, and in 2005 were named
"Top 50 Courses" in Myrtle Beach and
were recently named by Golfweek 2005 as "America's
Best Residential Courses of Distinction".
Sea Trail is a golf experience you will not want
to miss.
Our
three distinctly different signature courses,
designed by Dan Maples, Rees Jones and Willard
Byrd can be enjoyed by players of all levels,
but are challenging even to the accomplished golfer.
In addition to golf, we have two clubhouses with
full-service golf shops, lounges and snack bars.
Our full service resturant, Magnolias Fine Food
& Spirits, is located in the Jones/Byrd Clubhouse.
Additional golf amenities include putting greens,
a lighted driving range and a PGA sanctioned Golf
Learning Center.
Dan
Maples Course
Golf Digest declared the Dan Maples Signature
Course as one of the "Best New Resort Courses"
in the nation in 1986. NC Magazine rated the Maples
course in the top 5 of the coastal region's "Best
Conditioned Courses". Golf Digest rated it
4 stars; and, Golfweek honored the Maples course
with "Best Resort Course of Distinction"
in 2005.
Rees
Jones Course
The Rees Jones Course, which opened in the spring
of 1990, is a perennial favorite of both visitors
and locals. Designer-approved renovations to the
course in 1999 brought a more naturalized look
with native grasses and wildflower plantings.
A testament to Sea Trail's trio of course, like
the Maples course, Golf Digest also rated the
Jones course 4 stars and Golfweek recognized it
with "Best Resort Course of Distinction"
in 2005.
Willard
Byrd Course
Each hole of the Willard Byrd Course is memorable
for both beauty and exacting play. Built around
several man-made lakes, each ranging from 14-20
acres, every hole of this par-72 signature course
requires a distinctly different approach to Byrd's
undulating greens.
