The
Excitement of Myrtle Beach, SC!
The
heart of the Grand Strand is right here in Myrtle
Beach. It is the center of everything along the
Grand Strand and offers visitors excitement at
every turn. Voted the "Number 1 Family Beach"
by the Travel Channel in 2003, this popular destination
keeps visitors coming back year after year.
The
beach stretches for several miles, so we will
easily find the right stop to stake your vacation
claim. The landscape has changed in recent years.
While smaller hotels & motels can still be
found everywhere, many have made way to high-rise
condos and hotels that now dot the oceanfront.
There is an accommodation for every type of budget.
The
main strip is Ocean Boulevard, which runs parallel
to the beach. Accommodations line both sides of
the Boulevard (Oceanfront & Across the Ocean).
Many of the accommodations along the beach are
within walking distance from some of the area
attractions and restaurants. A bus service is
now available along the boulevard to take to you
to your favorite destination. However, car service
or the use of your own car is still the best way
to get to some attractions that are further away.
Speaking
of attractions, Myrtle Beach has something for
everyone, from amusement parks, and mini golf,
to live shows, and water parks. Just about every
attraction is geared toward families, so most
are kid friendly. The Family Kingdom Amusement
Park, not only boasts South Carolina's largest
ferris wheel and the Swamp Fox Roller coaster,
but parents will be happy to learn that this amusement
park caters many rides to a younger audience.
So the little ones will feel right at home here.
Live
shows can be found all around Myrtle Beach at
one of the many theaters. Plus, for the golfer
who prefers windmills over extensive championship
courses, Myrtle Beach has mini-golf that will
last for days at a time.
Did
we say "Championship Courses?" Myrtle
Beach is a golfers dream. Dozens upon dozens of
golf courses can be found throughout Myrtle Beach
for every level of golfer.
While
the beach is of course the big draw, when the
sun goes down, the party really starts. The area
nightclubs bring Myrtle Beach to life to the point
of sensory-overload. From retro dance clubs, to
top 40, techno, oldies, dueling pianos- what more
can you ask for?
When
you are finally ready to catch your breath and
enjoy a scrumptious meal, you won't be able to
turn around without finding one of hundreds of
places to eat. Every level of cuisine is represented
in Myrtle Beach. Want a thick juicy steak? Or
how about a Lowcountry Dish? But the big fish
on the menu is, of course, Seafood. Fresh from
the open waters and area waterways, Myrtle Beach
provides seafood dishes beyond anything you can
imagine. And if you really want to make a pig
of yourself, try one of Myrtle Beach's All-You-Can-Eat
seafood buffets. Just don't blame us when you
return home and you realize you need a few less
notches in your belt.
Finally,
the shopping outlets, malls, and specialty shops
can be found everywhere. One particular area of
interest combines shopping with restaurants and
attractions. Broadway at the Beach is the center
of the action and a must see for any visitor.
With
so many choices, Myrtle Beach is a prefect location
to make your stay when visiting the Grand Strand,
but we do suggest you look past the city borders
to find other great accommodations and things
to do while visiting. There are other shows, restaurants,
attractions, and shopping to be found in North
Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Garden City
Beach, Murrells Inlet,
Litchfield, Pawleys
Island, and historic Georgetown.
